Spooks: Code 9

WHITBY-BORN Joanne Froggatt stars in a spin-off series of the popular spy drama Spooks.
Spooks: Code 9 has Joanne playing team leader Hannah.
The action is set in the future, after London has been destroyed by a nuclear bomb.
Joanne, a former Coronation Street star who often plays victims, said: “Hannah is a great character to play . . . quite ballsy, very intelligent and very patriotic.
“She really cares for her country. Plus, I thought it would be fun to get to be the boss for a change.”
Joanne, left, said playing the exciting life of a spy did not tempt her into pursuing the career for real.
She said: “Although I did really enjoy the running and physical side of Spooks: Code 9, I’m not so sure I could do it in real life.”
V SPOOKS: CODE 9 will be shown on BBC3.
