IT’S that time of year again when BBC1’s cameras capture the action of the Great North Run.
Almost four hours of coverage begin at the start of this 28th half marathon in Newcastle.
And, along the way to South Shields in South Tyneside, there is plenty to see . . . from the competitive race to the fun-runners.
The event has had more than a million entries since it was first run in 1981 and more than 50,000 are expected to take part today.
