A DOCUMENTARY explores what life has been like for Sue Tollefsen, who had her first baby at the age of 58 last year.

The makers of Britain’s Oldest New Mum had exclusive access to Sue and her baby Freya.

Producer Dinah Lammiman found a loving cocoon of supportive friends and family.

But outside the family environment not everyone was ready to tolerate a new mother in her late fifties. One young mum at a mother-and-baby group thinks Sue is selfish for having a baby so late.

And Sue has to come to terms with the knowledge she will not necessarily be there to see Freya grow up.

BRITAIN’S OLDEST NEW MUM, BBC Radio 4, Monday, 11am.
