MODEL COOKERY

SOPHIE Dahl’s grandfather Roald once wrote a book called Revolting Recipes.

Hopefully celebrity chef Sophie will present more palatable fare in The Delicious Miss Dahl.

In the first programme she begins with a breakfast classic, with her take on an Arnold Bennett omelette, and also prepares an indulgent peanut butter fudge for snacking on later.

But, despite her pedigree in the kitchen, cooking has not always turned out well for Sophie.

She said: “My first ever cooking for a man was a disaster. He wolfed down my spaghetti carbonara, turned his nose up at my chocolate mousse, and left without kissing me.

“I sobbed all night until my mum said: ‘Well, if he won’t stick around for your chocolate mousse, then he’s not worth it’.”
