Tributes paid to woman found stabbed to death

TRIBUTES have been paid to a woman found stabbed to death in her home.
Judith Scott had lived in Woolsington Road, Billy Mill, North Shields, for many years.
The 61-year-old was discovered dead at her house in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene after they received reports of concern for a woman’s welfare.
A post mortem examination revealed she had died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Dennis Long, 59, who lived in the same street, is due to appear at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court to face the charge.
