Man arrested on suspicion of murder in Gateshead

DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of Gateshead pensioner Francis Willis have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

The 62-year-old is currently being held in custody, helping police with their enquiries.

Francis, 85, went missing from his home in Staindrop, Leam Lane Estate, Gateshead, on August 15.
