I WOULD like to offer my services to McDonald’s if Doug Henderson steps down from whatever it is he does for them.
Doug is the Newcastle MP who takes home £25,000 for attending board meetings, doing a bit of preparation, and “other bits”.
Not sure what the “other bits” are, but it’s still a nice little earner for a Labour MP representing working-class people.
It all adds up to 10 days of work a year. Ten days. Say it again in your head so it sinks in. Ten days.
That’s more than most of his constituents earn in a year.
