Wait to weep

THE football season is only two months old yet, already, fans and management are behaving as if promotion or relegation was a few games away.

Middlesbrough took the decision to sack a winning manager, there’s an atmosphere of doom at Liverpool, and Newcastle are panicking because a small percentage of results did not go their way.

Fans should save the weeping and wailing until much later in the season. But what can you expect from a sport where the man of the match is a beachball?
