How’s Hillary got hots for Mili-bland?

YOU have to wonder about Hillary Clinton’s judgment as America’s equivalent of Foreign Secretary.

Don’t worry . . . this column is not going to pontificate on international politics. It’s just that the Secretary of State has admitted she has the hots for David Miliband.

Come on, Hillary! David Miliband?

She thinks the Foreign Secretary and MP for South Shields is vibrant, vital, attractive, smart.

They are words few people would have associated with the New Labour politician except Mrs Miliband.

Bland, boring, dull as ditchwater, learned his socialism from books. Now those are sentiments I would happily match to young Mr Miliband, but most women would not say he has sex appeal.

Hillary reportedly told a journalist of her crush when his name came up in a telephone interview.

“Oh, my God,” she said in that awful Americanism that is growing in popularity over here.

She went on: “Well, if you saw him, it would be a big crush. I mean, he is so vibrant, vital, attractive, smart.”

David, in return, is said to consider his opposite number as someone with perspective although a bit of a tease.

I think she needs a cold shower, he needs to keep his distance, and Bill Clinton needs his wife back home.
