A law too far

IT’S a sign of our times that a council has admitted spying on a family to find out if they were really living in a school’s catchment area.

Poole Borough Council in Dorset used laws designed to track terrorists to secretly observe a family.

I’m afraid as long as we have league tables, parents will play the system to avoid failing schools. But to treat them like criminals simply because they want the best for their child is abhorrent.
