Lydia Hearst puts brains on show

LYDIA HEARST has quite a pedigree. She is the daughter of Patty Hearst, who was famously kidnapped by US guerilla group the Symbionese Liberation Army in 1974, and who went on to empathise with her captors.

Lydia is also the great-granddaughter of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, the inspiration for Orson Welles’ classic movie Citizen Kane.

As such, she’s regarded by many as the thinking man’s crumpet.

Now Lydia has been chosen by lingerie brand Myla to be the face — and body — fronting its new autumn/winter collection.

The company says she will bring an “intelligent sexuality” to its new range.

Yup, that’s what I like about her . . . her intelligence.
