I LOVED the smell of petrol as a child. I still do, but there’s a limit to the amount of time I like waiting on a station forecourt.

We must all waste a good a few minutes of every month queuing up at the station to fill up our cars with that oh-so-expensive fuel.

But the wait time could be halved if people stopped trying to fill up their vehicles on exactly the same side as their petrol cap.

Does nobody realise that the pump will actually stretch to the other side as long it’s not a huge tractor?

Try it next time. You’ll be driving off that forecourt in no time at all.
