HERE’S a point to ponder on.
A company goes out of business and its premises are taken over by another company.
The new company is in the same line of work, more or less, and has a similar name. Should they put right a complaint about the first company?
That’s what happened to Richard Henry, of North Shields, North Tyneside.
He complained about silicon on windows fitted by Ultimate Window Company Ltd, of Whitley Bay. By then they were no longer in business.
But Ultimate Windows and Doors Ltd were there, same place, same work, same faces in some cases.
Boss Alan Scott said: “It’s not the new company’s problem.” He’s right, but a bit of goodwill can go a long way and he agreed to look at Richard’s windows.
He later replaced the blackened silicon.
