A MONTH’S bill was waived after I looked into a complaint about Orange.
Veronica Kenny told me how she got the bill after leaving the company for a rival broadband supplier.
Veronica, of Wallsend, North Tyneside, said: “I requested my migration code from them in October and was disconnected in November.
“But I got a bill for £27-plus, which they say is my payment for December.” Orange said the money was in lieu of a month’s notice but Veronica said: “By my calculations, that was done when I requested my MAC code.”
I passed the complaint to Orange. A spokesman said: “Orange has spoken with Ms Kenny and, as a gesture of goodwill, we have agreed to waive the cancellation charge and the required 30 days notice.”
