Wheel deal ends cycle of despair

DAD Craig Armstrong was worried when a replacement bike for his son did not arrive. So he asked me to put son Daniel back in the saddle.

He said: “I bought a mountain bike from Motor World for £160.

“It has been back three times for repair on the same part. The crank broke again — causing my son to go over the handle bars — so I asked for a replacement.”

Craig, of North Shields, North Tyneside, was offered a replacement and paid £40 for an upgrade.

He called me in when the expected delivery date came and went. A spokesman for Motor World in North Shields said: “As a gesture of goodwill, we offered a replacement. We are just waiting for it to come in.”

Daniel received the bike after my call to the firm.
