Back in the driving seat with repairs

A USED car has been repaired for a first-time buyer.

Ann-Marie Watson, 19, had told me how the car had several problems after she drove off the forecourt.

She said: “I just passed my driving test a few months ago and was looking forward to my first car.

“I obtained a loan and purchased a Vauxhall from one of the dealers at Tyneside Autoparc. As it was my first car and I am not very experienced I was looking for a sound vehicle.”

The £3000 car, however, did not live up to expectations.

Ann-Marie, of Lemington, Newcastle, said complaints included a speedo that did not work.

She also complained about a battery which failed shortly afterwards and worn wiper blades.

I passed the complaint to First Choice Cars by e-mail and later spoke to them.

A spokesman said: “Problems with the speedo can happen from one day to the other.

“As far as I am aware everything is sorted and Ann-Marie has been in to collect the car.

On an earlier occasion owner Billy Freeman said: “She has a couple of relevant points.”
