Window on door dispute

I OPENED doors for Kevin Barry when he told me about his problem. Kevin, of Forest Hall, North Tyneside, said a new double-glazed door was faulty.

He told me: “The dispute with Arctic Windows has been going on for a year now. They said a new door would have to be fitted but that was months ago. Can you tell me where to go from here?”

I took Kevin’s complaint right to the top of the Newcastle-based company, where a spokesman admitted that the door had developed a crack. He said: “There were a few problems with doors from our old supplier. We have found a new supplier.”

The spokesman said he was just waiting for a delivery date from the new manufacturer. And Kevin said: “The company have provided a brand new door. Many thanks indeed for helping put a two-year problem to an end.”
