Probe into ‘mis-sold’ insurance

IT’S not just a complaint, it’s an M&S complaint and it’s become a matter of principle to customer Sandra Ferguson.

For nine years, Sandra had been paying for payment protection to cover her M&S Money account if she fell ill.

But she recently discovered it was not necessary as she was already covered by a different policy.

That’s when Sandra cancelled the cover and asked for her premiums back.

Sandra, of Bedlington, Northumberland, claims she was mis-sold the payment protection plan.

She said: “I asked them to look at whether it was mis-sold as I already had a policy to cover my salary if I should be out of work.

“That means I did not need additional insurance.”
