WHO’S the daddy? Mark Harriott’s the daddy – and he is raising two smashing kids to prove it.
But he was short-changed when he applied for a grant because benefit bosses did have a record of the children.
He was paid £100 in Job Grant – a benefit designed to help the former unemployed ease back into work – but should have got £250.
It was his wife Joanne who brought the discrepancy to my attention.
She said: “Mark was unemployed for 10 months and was entitled to the higher amount.
“We have two children, both in full-time education, but they are saying we don’t have kids.”
And the benefit people should know fine well because the couple, of South Gosforth, Newcastle, receive child benefit.
The difference in payment meant Mark was struggling between his last Jobseekers Allowance and his first pay.
