Taking crash course in garage repairs

EVANS above! Gary Knox put his BMW sports car into the garage for a routine repair . . . and they crashed it.

Gary wanted the Evans Halshaw dealership to fix a vibration on his 320dm, but a courtesy car driven by a member of staff smashed into the back end. The Hyundai dealership in Gateshead is repairing the car and when the repairs are done bosses will discuss what to do next.

Handyman Gary is concerned the damage will affect the value of the car. He said: “I bought the BMW six months ago. They picked it up from my house to take care of a vibration. Later in the day I got a call saying one of their employees had crashed into the back.

“They said it would be repaired but, no matter how good a job they do, the car will never be the same. At the end of the day I will still have a car that has been involved in an accident.
