Complaint can be put to bed

MY success with Littlewoods, reported two weeks ago, was better than I first thought.

I told how customer Andrea Brown, of Washington, Tyne and Wear, complained when legs on her bed started to buckle after just three months.

She also complained when Littlewoods failed to tell her that an inspection and repair would be charged at £45.

Littlewoods refunded the charge but I now hear they refunded the £290 cost of the bed as well.

A spokeswoman said: “Littlewoods is committed to providing a world class customer service and we would like to apologise to Mrs Brown as the service she received on this occasion did not meet our usual high standards. We have now resolved the case to Mrs Brown’s satisfaction.”
