Warning note on Internet bills

READER Harty Irvine has asked me to pass on a tip to those of us who pay bills via the Internet.

He said he almost failed to check the details of his mobile phone bill – which turned out to be wrong!

He said: “Messages flash on your PC screen and you might just delete them without clicking them open.

“I almost did but something made me click on the detailed bill for my mobile phone and I found out I had been charged for texts that should have come free with the package.

“The company refunded the money in two days. Might be worth warning your readers.” Consider it done, Harty.
