IF IT matters to readers, it matters to me, so I am more than happy to take on complaints that might seem trivial to an outsider but are important to those concerned.
Such was the case when John Salkeld called at the office complaining about a coach trip for him and a friend leaving in a couple of days.
He said their seats had been changed from 4a and 4b to 7c and 7d by National Holidays.
John, of Heaton, Newcastle, said the change was enough to spoil the holiday to Blackpool. He said: “It’s very important and I would like a full refund of all the money we paid.
“I have claustrophobia and being just a few seats behind will make all the difference.”
I told John I would do what I could and spoke to National Holidays managing director Graham Rogers.
He told me: “The best thing to do is give him his money as a gesture of goodwill.”
John, 78, later told me National Holidays had cancelled the booking and refunded £478.
