FHM Honey hope for North lass

Tricia Passam

SHE may look like a typical girl next door, but Tricia Passam could be the next big thing in modelling.

Tricia, 24, is hoping to follow in the glamorous footsteps of North beauties Tanya Robinson and Natalie Pike by becoming the latest girl to win the coveted title of FHM High Street Honey.

The Teesside beauty has made it into the final 10 from more than 15,000 applicants who sent their saucy snaps into the popular lads’ mag.

And now, as the only North entrant, she is hoping she will be able to secure enough votes to allow her to clinch the title, and a lucrative modelling contract.

Tricia, of Stockton, said: “I have always been interested in the idea of becoming a model but I haven’t really pursued it until now. I have done a little bit of modelling in the past but nothing serious.”

And it was only after reading her boyfriend’s copy of the magazine that the hairdresser decided to enter.

She explained: “My boyfriend Shaun gets the magazine every month. I started flicking through it one day when I was bored and saw the competition.

“I thought that it would be fun to enter, although I did leave it until quite near the deadline to get my application in.”

And despite being more comfortable behind the lens, Tricia is confident she could make a career out of posing during fashion shoots.

She explained: “Shaun is a professional photographer and I work part time as his assistant.

“When I went down to London to do the photo shoot with the FHM photographer, I spent more time talking with him about shots, lighting and lenses than I did talking to the hair and makeup artists over how I looked!”

Tricia added: “A couple of the past winners have been from the North, including Tanya Robinson who was the first High Street Honey.

“I really hope that the region will get behind me and help me make my dream come true.”
