Mum of Bad Lashes girl to appear on TV

THE BAD Lashes girls aren’t the only ones lapping up TV fame . . . band member Emily McNamee’s mum is also about to star on the small screen!

Christine, 51, of Durham, will appear in Gok Wan’s How To Look Good Naked.

But the mum doesn’t have to get her kit off on the cult fashion programme . . . cameras followed her as she had cosmetic surgery on her eyelids.

Christine, who works for cosmetic surgeons in Jesmond, Newcastle, said: “I found out the TV show wanted people for a cosmetic surgery section and I thought ‘I’ve worked for 15 years at this company so I may as well go for it’.

“With all the stress of Emily and the Bad Lashes I need it . . . I’m doing the work of two 20-year-olds at the moment.

“I had surgery to remove extra skin on my eyelids because now that I’m 51 my eyelids are droopier than when I was younger and it’s getting more awkward to apply make-up.

“I was asleep for the whole operation, which I had at our company’s hospital in Manchester, and couldn’t care less about the cameras being there for the whole thing. I just want my eyes to look better.”

The episode featuring Christine is to be shown in the next two weeks.
