Sting tipped for role in Private Privilege movie

However, author Simon told the Sunday Sun that no definite decisions had yet been made on casting for the film.

He said: “The screenplay is being written at the moment and the film will hopefully be shot in December.

“The book only came out in October and surprised everyone with how successful it has been. I’m really thrilled. I started it a year ago and, within a day of sending it to a publisher, I got a deal and it was in shops three months later. I’m working on the second book now.”

Simon said A Clockwork Orange actor Malcolm McDowell has agreed to be involved in the film, but remained tight- lipped about whether Sting would play a part.

He said: “Nothing has been decided on the casting for the film yet. Hopefully, I will be involved in the casting process.”
