My thoughts are with Jade

FORMER Big Brother contestant Jonny Regan has told how he has sent heartfelt wishes to cancer- striken star Jade Goody, who has just weeks to live.

Jonny — who was on the Channel 4 show with Jade in 2002 — revealed he got in touch with her family when it was announced her cervical cancer had spread.

The ex-firefighter, of Hartlepool, Teesside, came second on the reality series, with Jade coming fourth.

He said: “Obviously I feel terrible about what Jade and her family are going through.

“I have been in touch with her family and my thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.”

Fellow Big Brother housemate Liam McGough has also been in close contact with Jade and fiance Jack Tweed, who he has become close friends with.

The 24 year old, from Lanchester, County Durham, who appeared on the show in 2007, said: “It must be a terrible time for Jade and her family.

“I know it is at an aggressive stage and it must be very painful for everyone to watch but Jade is being very courageous.

“I am a friend of Jack’s and I think it is very difficult for him and everyone concerned.
