MAVERICK football club owner Brooks Mileson left behind an exotic and abandoned menagerie of pets that have been taken in by an animal refuge, following his death.
The former Gretna FC owner, who died in November, was a keen animal lover and had more than 100 pets in his garden, including wallabies, horses, goats, cattle and cats and dogs.
They have now been moved to the Animals’ Refuge in Wetheral, Cumbria, a charity of which he was a patron.
The pony-tailed footie boss dedicated years of his life to caring for hundreds of needy and abandoned animals at his mansion in Blackford, near Carlisle.
“Brooks was very dedicated to these animals and was a committed and caring animal lover,” said refuge director Heather McLean.
“These animals have special needs and we’ll do our best to welcome them.
