GIRLBAND Bad Lashes are back!
The Tyneside group, who had their dreams shattered when they were booted out of the X Factor, have teamed up with successful music mogul “Sir” Harry Cowell, the man who discovered multi-selling classical singer Katherine Jenkins.
The band are Newcastle cafe owner Emily McNamee, 19, Durham duo Stacey Lacey Lincoln, 21, and Sam Bennett, 22, and Hartlepool’s Sophie Wilson, 24.
The girls have been in the studio over the past few weeks working on new material with “Sir” Harry and will leave the North East this month to move to London to pursue their careers.
Emily said: “We have decided to give up everything here and really give it a go.
“As we’re working with record producers, it’s a lot easier for us to be in London.
“We’ve been working with “Sir” Harry and we have a really good relationship with him. He totally gets us as a band.
“We have started working with him on a few tracks.
“We were all gutted when we didn’t get through to the X Factor finals but we had a great amount of interest from appearing on the show and it’s given us a great platform.”
The girls are going to live in a converted Winnebago on a disused Second World War site in London while they work on new material.
