Teen fights for life after knife attack

A TEENAGER is fighting for his life in hospital after he was stabbed during a late night row on Teesside.

Lewis Forster, 18, suffered a punctured lung and internal bleeding following the attack in Middlesbrough at around 1am yesterday.

And his pal Kevin Watson has revealed how he too was slashed across the head as he went to his friend’s aid.

Last night, as Lewis was being treated for his injuries at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital, where he was in a critical but stable condition, his friend told how the row erupted in the early hours of yesterday morning at Cumnor Walk in the Pallister Park area of the town.

Kevin, an 18-year-old college student, who lives close to the scene of the incident, said: “My mate James came knocking at the door. He said Lewis had been stabbed. He was on the floor.

“I went over to the house and a man put a knife around my head. I was running round the green with my hands on my head.

“I didn’t know I’d been stabbed and I can’t remember how it felt. My mind just went blank.”

Kevin was later taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, where he received 10 staples in his head.
