Northumberland Beauty's hope for Miss Universe Great Britain title

A TEENAGE beauty from Northumberland will find out today if she is to be named Miss Universe Great Britain.

Georgia Graham, 19, who lives near Berwick, is in the final round of the competition and travels to Birmingham on May 3 for the final.

Should she win, Georgia will receive a modelling contract and jet off to the Bahamas in August where she would be up against national winners from across the globe.

The overall winner will be awarded an apartment at Trump Towers in New York.

The contest is also an opportunity for Georgia to raise money for a cause close to her heart.

Her grandad and cousin have suffered from cancer in the past and survived.

The event is in aid of The Joshua Foundation, a charity which gives life experiences to children with terminal cancer.

She hopes to raise £1000 for the cause.

Georgia said: “Cancer has hit my family so I think it really must be a horrible thing for a child to have.

“I will do anything I can to help them. It gives them the opportunity to live life.”
