LOVING couples who pop the question can make their day extra special by having their wedding rings delivered from the air.
A North falconry owner has trained a barn owl to swoop down at exactly the right moment and deliver the rings to the bride and groom to add a touch of magic to any wedding.
Chris Bennett, who runs Talon Falconry in Burnhope, County Durham, has been working with birds of prey for several years.
He said: “I have been training the barn owl for about six weeks and she is very good.
“I have had her from a chick and hand reared her, she is called Ollie and is about 10 months old now.
“She will just fly down when the groom or best man holds out his hand and deliver the rings, which will be attached to her leg. The best man then only has to take the rings off and I come and collect the bird.
“I had it at my own wedding and it was amazing, it got a great reaction from all the guests.
