THOUSANDS of rock fans embraced the muddy conditions at Alnwick’s answer to Glastonbury.
Days of heavy rain meant soggy conditions at Alnwick Castle for its annual summer concert last night.
But the conditions did not dampen the spirits of up to 6000 fans.
Young and old headed to the Northumberland castle for the musical extravaganza.
And they were not disappointed as stars of the West End put on a show to remember.
The We Will Rock You cast were in fine voice as they performed classic Queen hits.
And the singers were backed by an impressive 60-piece symphonic orchestra as the concert rocked the historic venue.
The concert was one of the region’s only survivors of the wet weather.
