After the initial cosmetic procedure, Mrs Binks was told too much skin had been removed from her face and that was the thing that was causing the problems.
She was stunned when NTMG advised her to have a further operation by the same surgeon - because she was told no other surgeon would want to get involved - and reluctantly agreed, with yet more disastrous consequences.
“I was certainly not prepared to stay with my face looking as it was and was desperate for it to be put right,” explained the mum-of-two.
“I was told I should allow the surgeon the chance to put things right but it was another complete disaster - my eyes were not symmetrical, my ears still drooped, and I could not believe the mess I was in.
“Incredibly, they said I could be seen by a different, ‘better’ surgeon, this time a German surgeon, who said everything that could possibly have gone wrong, had done so, but that a third operation would put things right.”
But she said the third operation was also a catastrophe.
Still, one further procedure was carried out by the second surgeon, in May 2006, and though she still feels her face is a mess, it will be a long time before she considers further cosmetic surgery.
Shami Thomas, spokeswoman for NTMG, said: “Transform Medical Group is unable to comment on any individual patient’s cases due to strict patient confidentially guidelines. However, we are committed to excellent clinical care to patients.
“The case involving Beverley Binks was a legal matter between the claimant and two individual surgeons, not Transform Medical Group.”
