But the lothario’s past hasn’t put off Clare. Like many before her, she’s convinced she will be able to tame his bed-hopping ways.

She said: “Some people say he’s a bad dad and as he doesn’t see his children.

“But he’d be brilliant with our child.”

Recounting how he asked her out Clare said: “He was drunk, but knew what he was doing, so I said ‘yes’.”

The 24-year-old revealed how she had to pay for lunch on their first date because Keith, 24, was broke.

After meeting in Sunderland bus station they decided to go on a romantic trip down the A19 to Middlesbrough.

She explained: “He didn’t have any money after walking out on his trolley-collecting job in January, so I got us lunch from Greggs.”
