Viz man's charity gift for brother

The hotspot of the evening will be the “Chilli Challenge” where volunteers from businesses, friends and family attending will take part in eight fiery rounds of chilli inspired tasting to torture the taste buds. Some of the world’s hottest chillies will be used including the infamous Naga Morich.

Simon said: “I’m really happy to give this drawing of Sid to the Chilli Challenge team in recognition of all the help my family received from St Oswald’s.

Other local cult celebrities have also donated their autographs including cast members of Byker Grove and Jaws look-alike Gary Tiplady, of Walker, Newcastle.

Lee Taylor, from Welbeck Design, said: “Every penny made from the auction and the event itself will go towards the £7m running costs needed to help people with cancer.

“St Oswald’s is a fantastic place and we are all grateful to Simon and the other celebrities who have taken time out to help us.”
