Concern as pet cat George qualfies as a ‘doctor’

George is able to offer health advice

SEEKING medical help from this doctor is unlikely to leave you feline fine.

Yet George the cat has a new pedigree to add to his name after his owner managed to get his paws on professional certificates, allowing his furry friend to practise a certain kind of medicine.

Just what type of medicine the moggy can offer people is hush-hush for now, though.

That’s because George is actually one of the stars of the forthcoming series of BBC’s Inside Out, the hard-hitting show fronted by the cat’s owner Chris Jackson.

Chris, of Northumberland, is about to enter our living room again exposing a whole new raft of wrong-doings and misdemeanours in our region, and his cat will get his moment in the spotlight as part of one of his exposes.

The 48-year-old investigative reporter and presenter, who was born in Newcastle, said: “I can’t say too much at the moment for legal reasons but my cat George features rather heavily.

“My cat manages to provide himself with something and, as a result, people might seek his medical help.

“You might say he has a professional pedigree.

“We have discovered that it’s very easy for my cat to seem qualified and he has the certificates to prove it.

“George has started to get rather above himself now after his starring role . . . he’s demanding a sofa all to himself now at home.”
