Listener claims emails from DJ Mark Thorburn led to affair

SLEAZY DJ Mark Thorburn had at least one other secret message session with a listener – which this time she claims led to an affair – the Sunday Sun can reveal today.

Just weeks before making sexual proposals to one woman, the love rat used exactly the same email chat up line techniques to score with another who had contacted his radio show.

The revelations could pull the plug on the disgraced disc jockey after the Sunday Sun told last week how he had a steamy email session with a woman while broadcasting his Metro Radio Lunchtime hits show into thousands of North East living rooms.

Today the married 41-year-old is fighting to save both his career and his marriage to loyal wife Lesley-Ann who broke her silence on her hubby’s sordid secret life to sob: “Mark Thorburn has broken my heart into a million pieces. I will never know the truth.”

The mum of his three children, and who has two others from a previous relationship, added: “He has broken our marriage vows. He has betrayed me, lied to me, and publicly humiliated me.”

Her words come as a woman claimed Thorburn:

:: exchanged steamy messages with the woman after she contacted him at the radio station about his work

:: begged her to let him visit her at home within hours of making contact

:: started a passionate affair with her, and

:: when that fling ended, started sending the suggestive emails at the centre of last weekend’s amazing probe.

Today the other woman tells how she too fell for his cheesy charms which led to a two-month affair and which ended just six days before he sent the suggestive emails at the centre of last week’s story.

And in emails seen by the Sunday Sun, the DJ appears to try to arrange a tryst at her house just over two hours after responding to her email.

The Northumberland woman, who the Sunday Sun has agreed not to name, says suggestive emails from him led to the secret sex sessions, which ended on September 15.

The 28-year-old said she has come forward to warn Lesley-Ann that last week’s revelations were not a one-off, and she claims to have slept with the married DJ on at least five separate occasions.

She said: “I feel ashamed for what I’ve done now, and I know it was wrong . . . but his wife has a right to know that this has happened, and who knows if there are others out there?”

The woman claims she met the DJ at an event in July where he had been presenting.
