Major Eric Ingram, chairman of the fund in the North East, said: "The show came together brilliantly. It was a fantastic night.
"My job is to raise funds for our brave servicemen and women and the families who have suffered, or who will suffer in the future as a result of serving their country.
"We made a profit of over £10,000 from Salute our Heroes, this includes the money we got in the collection at the end of the show, £1,605, and several donations by post since. Every penny will go to the charity.
"In the North East area around £250,000 has been spent on supporting soldiers in the last year. In the Newcastle area alone the figure is just under £40,000."
Serving soldiers will also benefit from the free DVD, which is due to be sent out in the next couple of months.
It is hoped the entertainment extravaganza will provide troops with a welcome break from the pressures of life on the front line.
Major Ingram added: "We had the concert filmed and once it is on DVD we will be forwarding copies to Camp Bastion and other bases in Afghanistan."
