WOULD Choo believe it? Canny shoppers who snapped up Jimmy Choo designer gear at a top North store are selling it online . . . at twice the price.
Last week your Sunday Sun told how hundreds of fashionistas queued for up to 15 hours to make sure they got their mitts on a limited edition collection of shoes, bags, clothes and jewellery crafted especially for H&M by the Malaysian designer.
Newcastle’s Northumberland Street store was one of 19 in the UK to stock the goodies – and one of only 10 outside London – which ranged from a leather bracelet costing £14.99 to leather jackets and boots costing £179.99.
And within minutes of the store opening last Saturday it had sold out of the Jimmy Choo stock – even the mannequins displaying outfits had been stripped bare.
The cut-price collection gave fashion lovers who don’t have megabucks a chance to slip their feet into the designer’s shoes, which usually cost up to £995.
However, it seems some of the savvy shoppers had no intention of even wearing the hot heels and clothes, choosing instead to make a tidy profit on eBay.
