Region digs deep for Air Angel Appeal

EACH Sunday we’ve promised to feature a selection of the generous donations and pledges we receive during the week that are helping us towards our £1m total.

And remember, if you’re a UK taxpayer, fill in a gift aid form and we can claim 28p back for every £1 you donate to the campaign.

The Great North Air Ambulance receives no Government or NHS funding.

With the number of generous givers growing all of the time there’s no time to waste in listing just a sample of your names.

Mr J Nightingale, of Newfield, County Durham has donated £50.

Bob Ferguson, of Stockton, has also donated £50.

Laurence Jackson School, Guisbrough, has pledged to raise £500 through our Christmas tags scheme.

Hayes Travel Plc, of Darlington, has raised £30 through our festive tags and fold-your-own money boxes.

Pauline Davies Batleys Cash & Carry, in Stockton, has pledged to pull in £100 through our tags and boxes.

Hexham & Prudhoe police stations are coming together for a fancy dress party with live entertainment on December 19, to raise £250. Sgt Martin Abbott said: “GNAA is a much needed service to the community of rural Northumberland and this is our chance to support our colleagues within the emergency services. Thanks to Simon Bowden, the up and coming North East Mentalist and Dave King.

Gary Johnston, of Whitburn plans to raise £100 with a Boxing Day “dip” at Seaburn.

Cockerton Church of Eng School have said they will raise £100 through tags and boxes.

Plumblands School, Wigton also aim to pull in £100 with our tags and money boxes.

Durham District Ladies Golf Association have raised £14,000 through a golf day.

Tom Robson Rowflow has pledged to raise £5,000 through an event on December 5.

Stan Walton Northeast Dye Cast Club has pledged £200.

Colin Toner & Friends Dormans Club, Middlesbrough have pledged £2,500. Eston Labour Club Middlesbrough have pledged £200. Blyth United Services Club have pledged £50. Wilson Art, Shildon have donated £100.
