Newcastle Vipers players left rude messages on Facebook

LURID comments left by North ice hockey players on a social networking site have sparked fury among fans.

Newcastle Vipers have come under scrutiny after a number of players posted foul language on Facebook.

With hundreds of young fans having access to their homepages, comments saying “I’m trapped on the world’s worst bus, it smells like Bigfoot’s d***” and “I can smell your d*** from Belfast” have angered parents.

The posts were made by netminder Richard Lawson and forward Nathan Salem on Mr Lawson’s page.

Equipment manager Jamie Douglas also left a comment which read “I can smell your d*** too, it’s lifting.”

Mr Lawson, 35, posted the comment as his status update before Mr Salem, 20, Mr Douglas and cheerleader Abi Hill left comments below.

One mum, whose young son accessed the page, was outraged at the lack of respect that young people could read the material.
