Cheryl Cole battles sausage roll for fans on facebook

And another post has a question for the fan club’s members: “How do you like your sausage rolls? With, ketchup, brown sauce, or Cheryl Cole?”

With members increasing daily, the sausage roll could easily overtake the popular singing star, which must be disheartening for her.

Equally worrying must be the fact that Cheryl’s own fan count has gone down since the sausage entered the fray.

But are these sausage-lovers the meal deal or just fry-by-night friends?

Well, the fans themselves have had their say on the web page, too.

One follower, David Burd, wrote: “Mmmm, tasty. And I don't mean Cheryl!”

Alan McLean said: “At least when you get sick of a sausage roll you can throw it away . . . or give it to a tramp!”

Clearly knowing which side her pastry is buttered, Catherine Salmon wrote: “Ah sausage roll, you never let me down, you sexy beast!”

Beverley Fletcher said: “I’m loving that sausage roll. Just look at its ripples on the top, so tempting and so golden.”

And Angela Briggs adds: “The Roll vs The Cole, how cool!!”

Clearly the sausage roll has the X Factor, but it remains to be seen how it will handle the fame.
