Little Lou take no prisoners training with All Action Wrestling

Wrestler Iain Robinson gets a hard time from one of his pupils Lewis Johnson, 12, at Wallsend Community Centre

YOU’VE heard of Big Daddy, now meet Little Lou.

But don’t let the 12-year-old’s size lull you into a false sense of security.

Because Little Lou - real name Lewis Johnson – has had some of the North’s meanest wrestlers in a stranglehold.

He is currently in training with All Action Wrestling at Wallsend Community Centre, in North Tyneside, for his first professional contest.

The Wolsingham Comprehensive School pupil’s love of wrestling started after a trip with his father to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

And now there is no stopping him.

“It’s really fun. Really cool,” Lou, from East Hedleyhope, near Tow Low, County Durham, said.

“It hurts, but a little less each time. I’m used to it now. I take one or two bumps and then I’m OK.”

Of the dozens of moves that Lou has learned in his training, one of his favourites is the flying head scissors, which involves him being picked up at head height and spun before throwing his opponent onto the ground with his legs.

“I like being lifted up and thrown like that,” he said. “It’s fun.”
