FOOTBALL yobs attacked a Toon fan and left him bruised and dazed lying in a pool of his own blood.
Gordon Wilson was among a group of travelling Newcastle supporters who were enjoying a weekend in the capital to see their team play Queens Park Rangers.
Violence flared as the 36-year-old enjoyed a drink in the Dolphin Pub, near London’s Kings Cross train station, when he was set upon by a group of disgruntled Leeds fans.
But when Gordon left the pub he was pushed to the ground and a group of thugs kicked him and rained blows down upon him.
He was left black and blue and spent more than six hours in hospital where he received stitches to a gash across his head and four stitches in his nose.
Last night Gordon, of Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, said: “I’m fuming. We weren’t doing anything wrong and there’s no reason we should have been attacked.
“I had arranged to meet some friends from home and so I left soon after.
“All I can remember is getting pushed to the ground from behind. I didn’t see how many were doing it but it was definitely at least a couple.
“They just started laying in to me. I don’t know if it was fists or kicks but I was getting hammered.”
