CLASPING a picture frame, precious memories are all tearful Elsa Robinson now has of the man she loves.
Her partner Brad Gardner, 25, was killed instantly when the industrial lift he was working in struck overhead power lines, sending 11,000 volts through his body.
Today mum-of-five Elsa has told of her heart-wrenching struggle to come to terms with losing the soul-mate she turned to for everything.
The 33-year-old, of Colburn, North Yorkshire, said: “I won’t ever be able to get over what has happened to Brad.
“I think I’m OK, then I try to do something normal like switch the oven on, or go shopping, and I just can’t do it.
“He’s dead, he’s gone. I don’t know where to turn, or what to do. I need to know how it happened and I won’t rest until I find out.”
Brad died on Tuesday May 11, just minutes into his shift assembling chicken sheds on a farm near Arrathorne, North Yorkshire. The power of the shock knocked out electricity to all homes in the surrounding area.
Workers on the site rushed to his side and dialled 999, but despite the air ambulance being called there was nothing medics could do for him.
Elsa said: “I was expecting him home for his lunch but the police came at 11.30am and said he’s been involved in an accident.
