Fascinating figures reveal the number of items stolen FROM COPS in recent years.
Sneaky villains have swiped handcuffs, helmets, bikes and even a patrol car from North police stations and other buildings.
The list of stolen items has been released by Cleveland Police after a Freedom of Information Act request by the Sunday Sun.
It shows that over the last year, a radio worth £800 was taken from an officer in the centre of Middlesbrough
A pedal cycle, valued at £1,500, and another, worth £300, were both taken from the town’s police station in the same period.
A police car was nicked in Yarm and taken on a joy-ride, before later being found in Stockton.
The list also shows a Cleveland Police hat, worth £50, was swiped in Pallister Park, Middlesbrough.
In 2008, a mountain bike, minus its front wheel, was stolen at Jutland Road Police office, Hartlepool. It was valued at £300, while a £4,500 off-road motorcycle was taken in Portrack, Stockton.
