Raoul Moat paranoia revealed by best pal

Tony Laidler, friend of murderer Raoul Moat

MORE revelations have emerged about the paranoia which led to sadistic Raoul Moat shooting three people.

His best pal Tony Laidler has told the Sunday Sun that phone calls from his ex girlfriend are what tipped killer Moat over the edge.

Tony Laidler, who has known the murderer for more than 30 years, believes his friend’s gun rampage was sparked by an exchange with the love of his life, Samantha Stobbart.

The 35-year-old claims a call with Samantha where she described life with new man Chris Brown was the spark, just hours before the shootings began.

And Mr Laidler says it was this which caused Moat to head to Birtley, Gateshead, where he blasted Samantha with a shotgun, and killed Chris by shooting him in the head.

“Sam could really push his buttons,” he said. “He was just pushed to the point where he had nothing.”

The pal says that when Moat was also devastated when Sam removed mention of him from a social networking site while he was in prison.
