RAOUL Moat claimed his long-running hatred of police began when he caught three cops snorting cocaine in a club toilet.
The gunman alleged police covered up the claims - with senior officers getting involved - resulting in him getting the sack.
The Sunday Sun can exclusively reveal the killer’s explosive allegations which have emerged from tapes secretly recorded by Moat.
He sensationally alleges that when working as a bouncer, he found the officers taking hard drugs after bursting into the venue’s toilets.
There is no suggestion this allegation was ever proved by any police force.
The shocking claim was made in tapes featuring hours of secret recordings Moat made of conversations with police, council workers and family.
And they could explain the 15-year vendetta he pursued against police.
After emerging from prison, Moat had worked himself up into a frenzy of paranoia until he snapped and blasted ex-lover Samantha Stobbart, 22, PC David Rathband, 42, and executed Sam’s new boyfriend Chris Brown, 29, in Birtley, Gateshead.
Moat incorrectly believed that Sam was dating a police officer - fuelling his rage.
Notoriously, the 37-year-old then went on the run in Rothbury, Northumberland, where he evaded armed police for days before killing himself after a tense standoff.
