DRAGONS’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne has just one thing to say when it comes to our Air Angels appeal – ‘I’m in’.
The tycoon is the latest in a string of North celebrities to urge families and fundraisers to do all they can to help the campaign reach its £1m target.
Duncan, whose Bannatyne empire is run from Darlington, said he knows the importance of the Great North Air Ambulance Service to the region.
The entrepreneur, who knows better than most when an idea is worth backing, had no hesitation in getting on board with our campaign to help secure the charity’s future.
Duncan said: “Living and running businesses in the North I am aware of the fantastic work the Great North Air Ambulance Service carries out, saving lives and easing pain and suffering.
“I’m a father and I know what it would mean to me if my family ever had to rely on their services.
“You can’t put a price on saving someone’s life.
“The air ambulance is crucial to region so I would urge everyone to do what they can to help the charity reach its £1m milestone.
“I understand this will help their financial efficiency and if that helps secure their future, it can only be a good thing.
“When it comes to backing the Air Angels campaign – I’m in.”
Duncan’s backing comes just two weeks after Toon hero Alan Shearer asked the public to do all they can for our appeal.
